MY BACKGROUND
What distinguishes my services are my understanding of business processes and the ability to communicate with senior management and employees of all levels. I have successfully lead strategic transactions as a general counsel and delivered products to the market place as an engineer, business man and attorney. These skills allow me to bridge the communication gap frequently encountered with lawyers, as well as identify business needs and effectively manage legal risks.
Following in-house counsel positions within the energy services and construction industries, I assumed my first general counsel position within the telecommunications industry in 2003. I became actively involved in the strategic management and core business operations of both emerging and distressed companies. My work emphasized restructuring operations, sales support, managing regulatory affairs and completing sales of each company. Prior to entering law school, I was a design and project engineer in the power generation industry, where I designed and successfully delivered projects ranging from $2 million to $30 million. This unique blend of business, engineering and legal skills allows me to deliver results for a wide range of business needs.
At roughly the cost of a first-year associate (entry level lawyer) at a larger firm, my services are far more competitive than paying for both partners and associates together. This works particularly well for smaller companies without an in-house attorney, as well as larger companies that may need to augment their current in-house legal team. I also offer progressive fee arrangements, rendering my services even more cost-effective.
